Harrold’s Pharmacy is dedicated to providing professional, caring service to enhance the quality of life for our patients and our employees through a vibrant partnership with patients, providers, community, and each other.

Founded in 1947 by Harold Lefkowitz, with a $1500 loan from his Uncle Eddie, Harold begun the family tradition of providing medicine and pharmacy services to families of the Wyoming Valley.  When Harrold begun there were very few commercially available medications, so Harold compounded most of the medication he dispensed. Seventy five years and 3 generations later Harrold’s Pharmacy is stilling strong by connecting to our patients, their families and the community in which we live and work.  Also, still specialize in traditional retail pharmacy services as well as custom compounding specific for our patients needs.  As Harrold’s Pharmacy grew so did the Lefkowitz’s family involvement within the Pharmacy. In 1980 Barry Lefkowitz, son of Harold Lefkowitz joined the Harrold’s Pharmacy team.

The development of Harrold’s Pharmacy continued when Bruce Lefkowitz, son of Barry Lefkowitz additionally chose to follow in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. Harold, Barry and Bruce all graduated from the University of the Sciences, Philadelphia where they all studied Pharmacy. Bruce returned back to Wilkes Barre, PA shortly after graduation to learn the ropes of the family business. In 2001 Bruce became the sole owner of Harrold’s Pharmacy and has continued to work hard to keep the tradition alive and make his grandfather and father proud.

In 2011 Harrold’s Pharmacy decided to make upgrades and move to a new building, providing customers and the community more space, top services, and the on going reliable, friendly staff at Harrold’s Pharmacy to aid in all medicinal questions and needs.
